The Girl Who Wouldn’t Give Up: Story and Yarn Craft

The Honeycomb is collaborating with Grangetown community member Joanna Chittenden and eco warriors Green Squirrel to take part in Green Squirrel’s ‘The Girl Who Wouldn’t Give Up’ sustainable street art project.
We will be kicking off this several-month-long project with a story and yarn craft class during February half term. Join us from 3-5 on Thursday the 20th to learn more about the project and to learn basic yarn craft skills such as knitting, weaving, and pom-pom making.
These yarn craft lessons will continue each Thursday evening until the 20th of May, after which we will have created a joint street art piece to display during the celebration week.
The artworks created will be displayed across Cardiff in May as part of a new project The Girl Who Wouldn't Give Up; a city wide celebration of creativity, community and hope.

The project is based on a traditional Welsh tale of hope, resilience and the power of young people and communities to create incredible change. Find out more about the project here, download free toolkits and a story pack and watch the short film: www.monsterinthelake.co.uk

Music Time with Renita

Join us during half term for a fun music session for the little ones.  Musician and former preschool teacher, Renita, will lead us in simple songs that will have us dancing and laughing away.  Free to attend, Friday the 21st of February at 1:00pm.
